WHAT DO YOU MEAN %- IT DOES NOT HAVE TITLE DEEDS!!
Unlike the UK and most countries there are a lot of homes in Cyprus which do not have title deeds. It goes without saying that you should not buy anything without getting the deeds, which show you own it.
In Cyprus title deeds are only issued when a property has been completed and the Authorities, Planning and Land Registry, have carried out their checks that it is compliant.
This is good as it means that, generally speaking, if a property has title deeds it must have Planning Permission and have complied with Building control. On the downside it means that it can take years for a new build home to get a title deed. Some properties which have been built will never get title deeds as they do not comply with laws and regulations. You do not know which properties might have problems unless and until title deeds are issued to the owner.
